Olde Gutrot's Paralytically Potent Sloe Port
This recipe uses the sloes that were used to make sloe gin.
Use the bottles your sloe gin matured in if making this immediately after bottling, otherwise use fresh sterilised bottles. Fill ⅓ full of sloes.
Fill the bottle with red wine.
Store in a cool, dark place for at least 3 months. For the first two weeks, shake daily, thereafter weekly.
Filter into fresh sterilised bottles: 4 parts red wine mixture to 1 part brandy. Retain the sloes to make sloe truffles.
Shake to mix.
